The advanced search functionality is available in all views of the calendar. Unlike the basic search functionality where you can search your events or tasks by filtering on the event attributes, the advanced functionality lets you to specify multiple search criteria on the event or task attributes by using boolean operators like 'and' and 'or'.
To use the advanced search functionality for events, follow these steps:
Click the magnifying glass icon in the search text area on the right hand corner of the calendar main window:
A drop-down search list appears with the following options:
Title
Location
Description/Notes
Attendees
Organizer
All Attributes
Advanced Search
Select Advanced Search.
The Advanced Search interface is shown in a new tab.
From the Search Calendar drop-down list, select the calendar that you want to search.
From the In drop-down list, select the item you want to search for:
Events and Tasks
Events Only
Tasks Only
Select the category from the drop-down list labeled Search:
All Attributes
Title
Location
Attendees
Organizer
Enter the search string based on the attribute you want to search in the Search for text area.
The advanced search option also lets you search for events or tasks based on dates with the Date Range fields.
Choose a date by clicking the date range fields. A miniature calendar opens and you are able to select the date.
Click Search.
